Casting to a computer with Flipside Broadcaster

To stream or record video of your Flipside content, you need to get your content onto a computer. Once your content is on your computer you can stream or record video of it with any live streaming or screen capturing software, like OBS Studio.

Note: Desktop users have two options for this; using the Desktop Interface on the computer attached to your headset or casting to a computer that isn’t attached to your headset with Flipside Broadcaster.

Cast your content to a computer

Step 1. Install Flipside Broadcaster on your PC.

Head over to flipsidexr.com and log into the Creator Portal. From there, click on the Downloads tab and download then install Flipside Broadcaster.

Step 3. Now you’re ready to start casting your Flipside content to your PC.

Click the start cast button on the main menu or Camera Switcher and note the room code that pops up.

Step 4. On your computer, go to Flipside Broadcaster and enter the room code.

Your Flipside content is now casting to your computer. Use the Camera Switcher to craft exactly what you want your audience to see.

Record or live stream your content

Alternatively, you can select any other input source that suits your needs like Game Capture or Window Capture.

Step 2. Start recording or live streaming.

Step 3. Once you’re done, your video will be saved to your computer according to the settings in the OBS Studio setting menu.
